An essential part of Indian culture, the saree is a garment that is woven into the collective consciousness of South Asians. Images of our mothers, ...grandmothers and female members of the extended circle fussing over their sarees are part of our core memories! The attachment to this garment is thus formed. In a modern setting, sarees create a look that is at once contemporary but rooted, beautiful but quite functional. The flexibility of draping, breathability in harsh climates, and the fact that a single size fits everyone makes this a great addition to your wardrobe!

We have collected cherished weaves from the Indian subcontinent, directly from weavers empanelled with the Government of India. Sharing these with you, the reader, in our small but dedicated effort in order to preserve this rich cultural heritage, and take this garment into the new millennium.
